Two Links

I gave a little talk Wednesday about the ASH Converence to our local support group.  Here is a link to a PDF document of the slides:  ASH 2009.pdf.

The National Cancer Institute Bulletin this month is about nutrition.  Actually about supplements, but a key point in the video is that "about 30% of our cancers relate to our dietary habits."  http://www.cancer.gov/.

More about ASH coming up.

  1. Thank's Don,
Always good to get the patients perspective.
The studies into PN look promising, at least PN is not being ignored.

  2. Dear Don,
I am writing you from Italy since you seem to be a positive person, and a fighting one at that.
As to curcumin you should read the book "Anticancer" by David Servan-Schreiber: in it you will find out that pepper increases by more than 200 times the bioavailability of curcumin. So it's definitely better if you take your curcuma powder with some olive oil and a pinch of pepper. In the above book there are REALLY INTERESTING studies on food-against-cancer by dr. Belivier.
Thank God I am not affected by cancer but I sincerely hope this piece of advice will somehow help you through with your fight.
    My very best wishes
    Fausto (Milan)
